WELS/ILS Call Updates

Premise

The national church body (WELS) that Trinity and ILS are affiliated with helps churches and schools find qualified pastors and teachers through a call process. When you read that someone has a call, they essentially have received an offer from another ministry to come and serve at their church or school. The person usually takes several weeks to prayerfully consider this opportunity and then decide whether to stay or go.

Active Calls

  • Pastor Cook received a call to serve as the Student Ministries Pastor at NorCross Lutheran Church in Lakeville, MN. Please keep him and his family in your prayers during this time as he deliberates his call.

  • The voters issued a call to Pastor Jordan Uhlhorn. He is currently serving both Ascension Lutheran Church and St Paul's Lutheran Church in the Moorhead, MN area. Please keep Pastor Uhlhorn in your prayers as he deliberates the two calls he now currently holds.

Call Decisions

  • Mrs. Brudos, our 4th grade teacher, received a call to teach grades 2-4 at Salem Lutheran School in Owosso, Michigan. She has decided to return (decline) this call.

  • Miss Chloe Robbert, our science and junior high art teacher, received a call to serve as 5th and 6th grade homeroom teacher and 5th - 8th grade science instructor at Morrison Zion Lutheran Elementary School in Greenleaf, WI. She has returned (declined) this call and will remain here.

  • Mrs. Megan Deenik, our 2nd grade teacher, received a call to serve as 1st-2nd grade teacher at New Hope Lutheran Academy in West Melbourne, Florida. She has returned (declined) this call.

  • Mr. Seeger, our elementary school Principal, has returned (declined) his call to serve at Trinity Lutheran School in Caledonia, Wisconsin. He will remain here at ILS.
