Call Decisions
Mrs. Haley Wels was called to serve as a high school English teacher and 8th grade homeroom teacher. Mrs. Wels decided to return (decline) the call. We will now request a graduate from Martin Luther College to fill this vacancy.
Pastor Italiano has returned (declined) his divine call to serve as Associate Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Monroe, MI.
Mrs. Emily Seeber has returned (declined) the call to serve as a high school English teacher and Learning Coordinator. The school board will be meeting soon to issue another call.
Mr. Matthew Moeller has accepted our call to serve as the Junior and Senior High School Principal and Senior Administrator beginning with the 24-25 school year! Mr. Moeller currently serves as the Director of Instruction at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, WI. Please keep Mr. Moeller and his family in your prayers as they prepare to come to Crete and ILS. Please keep Kettle Moraine in your prayers as they look to fill his role.
Mr. and Mrs. Hahn have decided to return (decline) their respective calls. The Illinois Lutheran Board of Directors will meet again soon to make new calls.
Miss Rebecca Hussman has returned (declined) the call to serve as a Junior High and High School English teacher, and the Learning Coordinator at our high school campus.
Mr. Justin Danell has returned (declined) the call to serve as the Junior and Senior High School Principal and Senior Administrator.
Pastor Schneider at Zion has returned (declined) his Call to serve at St. John Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, WI. He too will remain here in Crete.
Pastor Cook has decided to return (decline) the Call to serve as associate pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Monroe, Michigan. He will be remaining here in Crete.
We recently learned that Mr. Walker and Ms. Rath both returned (declined) their calls to Illinois Lutheran Schools. Our Illinois Lutheran Board of Directors will be meeting again soon to extend offers to individuals to come and serve with us here at ILS. Please pray that the Lord gives wisdom to the leaders of ILS to choose who they think may be the best fit for us. We also pray that the Lord gives us patience as we confidently wait for just the right person to join us – knowing that God promises to work all things for good!
