Cook Farewell Services & Meal

Mark your calendars — Sunday, June 14, will be the last time Pastor Cook will be carrying out the worship services here at Trinity.

A farewell meal is being planned for that day, with a 1:00 PM start time. As with past large meals, we are asking for everyone’s assistance with bringing food to share. There are signup sheets on the Welcome Home ledge at church.

Signing up for food will look a little different. Instead of having the alphabet division of food items, we are leaving it up to you, the people, to decide… sort-of. We are looking for just 15 people to sign up for desserts; the rest we are asking to bring a side dish. We seem to end up having too many desserts for these meals so we are trying to limit the amount and ask for more side dishes instead.

And, for a third option, if you would rather donate monetarily towards the meal, that’s fine too. We recognize that it may not be possible for some people to bring food, so if you would rather, you may donate to the meal with your cash donation no later than June 7 to the church office.

Cook Farewell Presentation Submissions

We would like to hear from you — As we bid farewell to Pastor Cook and his family at their farewell meal on June 14, we’d love to hear from you. Share your favorite memories, stories that touched your heart, favorite picture, and words of appreciation. These will be used to create a heartfelt presentation for the farewell meal.

Please send your favorite photo, memory, or parting message to Beth at byoungberg@trinitycrete.org or drop it off in the polka dotted box in the church office by June 7.
