Become a Host Family

Through the work of the Holy Spirit in the ILS ministry, Jesus was shared with ILHS international student, Anh, over the last two years, and she came to know Christ as her savior. Anh shared about her experience at ILHS, "Standing here today as the ILHS salutatorian isn’t a testament to my perfect English; it’s just a testament to a faithful Savior who guided a lonely girl from halfway across the world, placed her in a community of strangers and turned them into her family."

Did you ever have the dream to be a missionary? Have you considered the potential blessings of living in a foreign land to share the good news about Jesus? For most of us who have considered that possibility, reality set in and we discovered our gifts were not in that area, but we still want to help tell all nations about what Jesus has done for them. One great way to do that is to host an Illinois Lutheran High School international student in your home! You don’t have to get a passport, receive shots for diseases only found in a foreign land, or leave the comfort of your home.
