WISCONSIN TOURNAMENT
The 2010 State 9-player Tournament will be held in West Bend on April 10 & 11. The First Lutheran Dart League will send a representative team made of Crete 1 & Crete 5 players.   Crown Point will add 4 players to complete the roster.  West Bend is roughly 30 minutes north of Milwaukee.  This will be the first time that there will be 3 divisions for the men's teams. This is our second year playing in the Wisconsin tournament and we hope to be in the newly created "C" division.  Wisconsin uses a different board and requires darters to shoot underhanded.  Seeding will be posted on the Wisconsin Dartball Website at the end of March www.widartball.com .

MOST RECENT RESULTS
Week #25 Crete 1 hosted Chicago Heights 1.  Chicago Heights pounded out 15 hits enroute to a 9-4 opening game win.  Trinity heated up late in game two after falling behind 9-0, but fell short and dropped game two 11-8.   After switching the line-up, Crete found its stride and closed out the season with 22 hits and a decisive 17-3 win in the nightcap.   Mick McGuire (8-15) led the team with good hitting from Steve Johns (8-16; 1 HR) and Ed Oldenburg (6-15; 1 HR).  Nate Oldenburg added two HRs.  Crete 1 closes the season in third place 42-27 in A division.

Week #25 Crete 5 hosted Lansing 2.  Game one proved to be an epic battle.  Trinity held a lead most of the game, but Lansing scored 3 runs each in the 8th and 9th and again in the 10th.   Trinity found a way to hold on and tied it up in the 9th and again in the 10th.  Lansing tallied another in the top of the 14th, but Trinity scored twice on three straight hits to end the game 11-10.  That was about it for Trinity's offense for the evening.  Lansing took games two and three 7-2 and 8-2.  Lloyd Brands (7-12) led the Trinity shooters.  Ken Biesterfeld (7-13) and Tim Lange (6-13) added consistent hitting.  Larry Lacheta and Danny Griffin notched the only long balls for the home team.  Crete 5 finishes B division with a record of 39-33.  Beecher currently holds a slight edge in the loss column (32 losses), but they still have 3 games to make up with league leading Blue Island.  Either way Crete 5 will finish first or second and that is good enough for a trip to the playoffs.  Good luck Crete 5!

COMING SOON - LOOK FOR SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW!
Trinity was recently provided some very old First Lutheran Dart League documents.   We are in the process of scanning them and making them available on the web.  Keep your eyes open for this!

2010 FIRST LUTHERAN DART LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
Sunday January 10th seventeen teams gathered at Trinity Lansing (Oak Glen) for the First Lutheran Dart League annual tournament.  All fifteen League teams participated, as well as a team from Crown Point (independant) and Griffith (Hammond League).  Both Trinity Crete teams drew the Home bracket.  Crete 1 managed a 6-1-2 record on the way to a second place finish.  Crete 5 tied for third with a 5-3-1 record, then proceeded to take sole possession of third place by winning the tie-breaker game.  Congratulations to both teams!

2009-2010 DART LEAGUE

The Trinity dart club has two teams, Crete 1 and Crete 5, in the First Lutheran Dart League, which consists of 15 teams from Lutheran churches, both Missouri and Wisconsin Synods, in the south suburban area. These churches range in area from Beecher to the south and Worth to the north. We can always use new players and welcome anyone who has an interest in throwing darts, either male or female, and who would enjoy a fun filled night with other members. You should contact one of the captains of the Trinity teams, either Steve Johns at 708-672-8659 or Ken Biesterfeld at 708-672-5979.

We play three nine inning games each Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at the sight of the home team on the league schedule between the middle of September until the end of March, with a three week break for the Christmas holidays. There is also an annual tournament in January each year hosted by one of the leagues churches.  Keep an eye on the church bulletin for the weekly location of each Crete team.

An area of service we participate in is to prepare one of the advent suppers.  The proceeds and any matching funds from Thrivent will be donated to the Puppet Ministry this year.
